Record a voice note on iPhone or iPad and get a transcript, made on your device.

Tap VOICE on the note bar to start recording. Use PAUSE and RESUME as needed, then STOP & SAVE.

The audio is transcribed on your device. Nothing is uploaded. You can play the audio back, copy the transcript, or share the audio from the note.

You can also start a voice note from the command palette (“New voice note”) or from the RIFT icon on your home screen.

Transcription quality

Choose how voice notes are transcribed in Settings:

Good uses Apple’s built-in transcription.
Very Good downloads a larger model (about 357 MB) for more accurate results. It needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence.

Notes

Transcription runs on iPhone and iPad. Voice notes recorded there sync to your Mac.
Voice notes are part of the Powerpack.
